In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Al-Zahraa (A.S.) Speech
Occasion: Al-Zharaa (A.S.) Martyrdom
We offer our condolences to the Master of this Time (may God hasten his honorable revelation), to the supreme leader of the Muslims Al-Imam Al-Khamenei (may God keep him), and to all Muslims especially the strugglers, for the martyrdom of the prophet Mohammad's (peace be upon him and his household) daughter, the pure, the sincere Fatima Al-Zahraa (A.S.).
After ten days of the Seal of Prophets', prophet Mohammad, death and after the tragic events that happened after his death, in which the Commander of the Faithful Al-Imam Ali Bin Abi Talib (A.S.) was commanded to be patient in order to protect Islam, Fatima (A.S.) went out of her home with women of her folk and entered the Messenger of Allah's (peace be upon him) mosque, where there were a crowd of immigrants and supporters and others. Before starting the speech they suspended between her and the folk a curtain and a veil, then she began her sermon which is truly a major historical document; we offer some of its paragraphs.
The beginning: thanking and testimony (Shahada): "All praise is due to Allah for what He granted, thanks for what He had inspired and praise to what He had delivered; starting in general blesses, continued the bounties of advice and gave rewards for charity; it is difficult to count and it lasts for a long time…
I bear witness that there is no god except Allah, a word which is interpreted by loyalty guarantee for hearts, its reasonable is shown in minds, visions are omitted from seeing him, tongues can't describe him and illusions have no place around him…
I bear witness that Mohammad my father is his messenger and his slave. God chosen him before purifying him, purified him before sending and he named him before raising him…. He saw nations of different religions, slaves to their idol, embarked to their fire and denying God even though they know him, then Allah enlightened darkness by my dad (peace be upon him), dispelled grief of hearts and clarified visions from blindness."
Then, she addressed to the folk saying: "God imposed on you faith to purify you from polytheism, the prayer is to deem you from arrogance, almsgiving to increase sustenance and fasting is a proof of sincerity…. and obedience is a system for people, leadership (Imamate) is a gather for band and patience is a gauge on a response, enjoying what is right is a benefit to the public and forbidding the wrong is a deem for religion…. So praise Allah whom through his majesty and brightness, all who are on earth and sky seek means. We are the best means of his creation; we are his family (prophet's family), the argument of his absence and the hires of his prophets…"
She added saying: “O People! Be informed that I am Fatima, and my father is Mohammad (peace be upon him and his household), if you identify and recognize him, you shall realize that he is my Father and not the father of any of your women; the brother of my cousin Ali rather than any of your men, reported warning, revealing the mission, whenever they lit a fire for a war God extinguished, also whenever deception is ensued or polytheists gaped a gape, the prophet discharged his brother (Ali (A.S.)) into its epiglottis not dedicated until he reaches its meatus (ex:. ear or ear piercing) by his fingers, besides, he (A.S.) extinguish its flames sharply, steeped in Allah's self… close to the messenger of Allah, a master in the guardians of Allah; and you are safe through opulence, sitting as a cowry, happy, trickling news and you are spread out when there is any problem. Until Allah raised the column of religion by the prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him).
And she (A.S.) continued her speech about the matters that ended up in and clarified the reasons of deviation from the right way despite of its clearness.
Then she (A.S.) announced the position of patience for keeping Allah's religion, whatever the sacrifices are, by saying: "we will be patient on such long incision and the tingling of teeth in the body."
All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
