In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
The relationship between the faithful and Al-Imam Al-Mahdi (may God hasten his appearance)
The link to Al-Imam Al-Mahdi (may God hasten his appearance) is not a link to an ideological idea, but to a whole human with a body and a soul, he lives between us, see us and maybe we see him, leadership of mankind and jinn but the leadership of the whole universe. If he is missed from the earth for one hour, the earth will melt, and on him our work is exposed where he feels sad for the bad things and feels happy for good ones. So while talking about the ethics of a relationship with him, we should begin by clearing our selves and looking at our work controlling and accounting to be appropriate for the display in the record of Al-Imam Al-Mahdi (may God hasten his appearance).
Al-Imam Al-Khomeini (may his secret be sacred) says: "We should look well in our work sheet before Allah and Al-Imam (A.S.) receive, and after looking we may fit a set of ethics with Al-Imam (A.S.) including:
1- Longing to see him (A.S.): it was reported that Al-Imam Ali (A.S.) mentioned Al-Mahdi (A.S.) then he gestured on his chest longing to see him. Also about Al-Imam Al-Sadek (A.S.) that he said, longing to see him,"….if have realized him, I have served him all my days." Besides, the prophet's family taught us to ask Allah to see him (may God hasten his appearance), in their supplications," oh God, show me his prudent appearance, and his bright brow and eye line my eyes by a look to him. Oh God, we are your servants, who have a desire to see your Imam and your Prophet. Oh God, show us the face of your auspicious leader in our lives and after death."It was mentioned in Al-Nodba supplication," o son of Ahmad do you have a way to meet you."
2- Crying for his parting: About Al-Imam Al-Sadek (A.S.), "I swear that your Imam (leader) will be absent for years through your age… and the eyes of believers will cry…"
3- The Supplication for him: in particular the following supplication, "God be to your guardian Al-Hoja the son of Al-Hasan…"
4- His visit: in particular, the visit of (al-yasin) that is received from Al-Imam Al-Mahdi (may God hasten his appearance) teaching us how to feel his presence. It says, "Peace be upon you when you stand up, peace be upon you when you sit, peace be upon you when you read and turn out, peace be upon you when you pray and while saying supplication and peace be upon you when you kneel down and prostrate."
5- Begging through him: whether in the matters of life, as Al-Imam Al-Khamenei has begged him in Jamkaran mosque for the victory of the Islamic resistance in April war. Or in the matter of the hereafter, interceding for us as in the prayer pleading (doaa Altawasol).
6- Praying on him: it was reported how much it is desired to pray on him in more than one place as, the opening supplication (doaa aleftetah) and the received prayer (alsalat alwareda). "God pray on the pious successor, Al-Mahdi the leader, the leader of believers and faithful, the heir messenger and the pretense of the lord of the world."
7- To stand up while mentioning his name: in particular, "alqaem" it was reported that the name of Al-Imam Al-Mahdi's name was mentioned in the presence of Al-Imam Al-Sadek (A.S.), he stood up for his respect.
8- Paying charity for him: it was mentioned in the charity supplication while traveling, "oh God, this is for you and from you, and it is a charity for our Imam (may God hasten his appearance) and prays on him through his travels, actions and turns during the hours of his days and nights."
These are some of the relationship ethics with Al-Imam Al-Mahdi (may God hasten his appearance) we ask God to follow.
All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
