Rajab's Virtues

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Rajab's Virtues

We congratulate you the beginning of Rajab Downpour (Al-asab) month which is a very valuable month and has very great merits as was mentioned in many news and stories that were related to the Prophet (P.B.U.H.) and the virtuous Imams; it is the Asab month because the mercy and forgiveness from God descends toward the humans.

Prophet Mohammad (P.B.U.H.) said: "It is called Rajab Al-asab because the mercy descends so much and Imam Al-Kazem (A.S.) said: "Rajab is a great month and God doubles the charities and eradicates the sins".

Rajab is commonly known as the month of the Commander of the Faithful (A.S.) and it was mentioned that he used to fast Rajab and say: "Rajab is my month, and Shaban is the Messenger of Allah's month" and "Ramadan is the month of Allah". And it includes great occasions and some of them are: the Noble Prophetic Mission of the Messenger of Allah Mohammad Bin Abed Allah (P.B.U.H.), and the birth of the Commander of the Faithful and the lord of the religious Imam Ali (A.S.), and the birth of the Imam Al-Hadi (A.S.) and Imam Al-Jawad (A.S.), and the martyrdom of the Imam Al-Kazem (A.S.), and the Battle of Khaybar in which God defeated the Jewish through the military attach which was guided by the Commander of the Faithful (A.S.).

O Rajab is one of the inviolable months which God glorified.

Besides it is the time of supplication in which the Prophet (P.B.U.H.) said: "God nominated an angel in the seventh sky and is named the suppliant, and when Rajab comes, every evening he starts calling till the morning: "Blessing upon the ones who are worshipping, and blessing upon the obedient"; and God says: I am the comrade of the one who comrade me and an obedient for the one who obeyed me, and forgiver for the ones who ask for my forgiveness, the month is mine and the human is mine, and the mercy is my mercy, so the person who supplicated to me in this month, I will respond him, and the one who asked me to give him, I will give him, and the one who asks to be rightly guided, I will guide him, and I will let this month a way between the human and me, and the one who adheres with it will reach me﴿.

O Rajab is the month of the "Lailatul Raghaib" and Prophet Mohammad (P.B.U.H.) insisted on animating it by saying: "Don't miss out the first Friday night from this month because it is a night called by the angels "Lailatul Raghaib", which means that if third of the night passed, no one of the angels stay neither in the skies nor on the ground except they meet in the Kaaba and around it and God acquaints by saying: "O my angels, ask me whatever you want, they say: God, our need is to forgive for all the persons who fast in Rajab, then God says: I did that". And the Prophet (P.B.U.H.) mentioned the prayers and the calls in this night, and Prophet Mohammad (P.B.U.H.) swear by God that the person who did that, God will forgive him all his sins even if it was like the sea's foam and the number of sands and the weight of the mountains and the number of the trees leaves.

O Besides, Rajab is a month that God loved to fast during it, and the Messenger of Allah told us the virtuous of fasting by saying: "Rajab is the God's Asab month because it doesn't approaches any other month in its sanctity and virtue with respect to God … If a person fast one day from Rajab respecting and believing, then this deserves the God's great contentment, and his fasting in that day will extinguishes the God's anger, and locks a gate from the Hell's gates, even if he was given all the gold that are found in the world, this is not better than his fasting".

O Rajab is a month that God loved people to prostrate to him, and to say while the person is prostrating: "the sin was great from your human, so let your forgiveness be better from you" grieving with Imam Zain Al-Abidin (A.S.).

The Leader's (God keep him) commandments in Rajab month:

Imam Khameini (God keep him) who is leader of the Muslims commanded in the beginning of Rajab Al-asab with valuable commandments which was included in his following guidance speech:

Rajab month started, and it is a blessed month, and differs from Jammada al-thania month, hence Rajab is better with regard to prayer and the specialized eulogy for God, and if we were doing a desirable work then now we should double it, and if we didn't use to do it previously, we should start by it now. And I said previously for the brothers … that they are still youth and your work requires the religiousness and the believing in God, and you should exploit this power and build your personality in both sides the incorporeal and materialistic.

From the incorporeal side, you should worship and care a lot in the Islamic judgments whether it was obligatory or desirable. Similarly for the materialistic side, you should build yourselves and learn the different arts especially with that which are related to your work such as using the weapons. But the most important is the incorporeal side, so some thinks that he should continue doing what he used to do previously, but what is correct is that he should increase doing that works if they were good such as: fasting desirably, and praying desirably and watching the soul in its works and this is from the most important jobs. And if that works weren't good, you should do your best in order to get rid of it because the humanitarian soul strives toward the completeness. The pollution with the corruption categories is from what threatens you, and the corruption that may pollutes you… Not just the sexual corruption but also the political, and the financial, and the moral ones, hence watching the self is a must, so start by yourselves, and you should be sensitive toward the others; and if you saw a depraved person you should strive for reform and guide him, and it is not permissible to stand doing nothing.

We wish from God to let us be subjected to Rajab's incorporeal donations and beneficiary from them.

Eventually, all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
