A Glimpses from Imam Al-Khomeini's (May his secret be sacred) Commandment

A Glimpses from Imam Al-Khomeini's (May his secret be sacred) Commandment

Our congratulations and felicitations for the Owner of Times Imam Mahdi (May God hasten his honorable revelation) and his Deputy during his absence Imam Khamenei (May God keep him) and for all Muslims, in particular Al Moujahideen in the anniversary of the two great Imams Mohammad Ibn Ali Al Baker and Imam Ali Al Hadi (A.S.) in the first and second days of Rajab respectively.

And we offer our deepest condolences to Imam Mahdi (A.S.) and Imam Khameini in the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali Al-Hadi (A.S.) and Imam Moussa Ben Jaafar Al Kazem (A.S.) in the third and the sixth of this month respectively, and the anniversary of the decease of the detonator of the Islamic revolution and the incentive of the Muslim's revolution in the twentieth era, Imam Khomeini (May his secret be sacred), who had left his immortal commandment for us through which he talked about many issues that interest the Muslims such as the role of the mass medias.

In fact, Imam Khomeini (May his secret be sacred) in his commandment discusses the issue of the mass medias with all its styles considering it one of the principles that influence the person and his morals, forms, sayings, and relations. Today, egoism and selfishness are being a substitute from scarifying for sake of doctrine, society, and the homelands. The goals of many people are no more how to defend the oppression and the enemies as much as ensuring the things that are not so important and the way of wearing which is fashionable. But vice versa, the sermons and the good words were replaced with words that we imitate the west by them, and the sermons ended up with respect to some a kind of sarcasm and mock. All these are a result of what the mass Medias are offering (programs, propagandas, films) which focus on a direction away from slavery to God Almighty and being adhered to the divine and humanitarian values which the Islam offered and thus imitating the infidel and the aberrant ones.

Because of this, Imam Khomeini's words were presented to declare that all these things are a deviation from the righteous path and falling in the gaps of inadvertence, retardation, and arrest in the devil's hands that are controlling the world injustice.

Imam Khomeini (May his secret be sacred) says: "The radio, television, press, cinema and theatres are the most effective means for stupefaction and corruption of nations especially the younger generations. During the past century, especially the second half of it, great plots were hatched and executed through these media against Islam and its faithful servants, the clergy. The mass media are used, also in the colonial propaganda networks of the East and West."

His Eminence Imam Khomeini continues to say: "We must all know that Western style freedom degenerates the youth, and it is condemned in Islam's view and by the intellect. Propaganda literature, written articles, speeches, books and magazines that oppose Islam, public morality and the interests of the country are taboo (haram, interdicted by religion) and it is incumbent on all Muslims to prevent their printing and distribution. Harmful liberties must be checked. If all that is haram and against the path of the nation and the Islamic state and contrary to the prestige of the Islamic Republic is not decisively controlled, then all are to be held responsible…."

Hence, we can realize from Imam's commandment that the trite freedom is the taboo thing that we should boycott it and prevent it as well; consequently, we should encourage and develop the mass Medias that are useful and beneficial. Therefore, from this point, it is a must to:

First: We, and our children, should stay away from each immoral mass media, whether by watching its programs or buying the tools that let us be in contact with it, such as the satellite, video, bad magazines, etc…

Second: Propagate for the radio stations and the televisions that endowed with religion, modesty, and morals.

Third: let the others be conscious about the importance of the trite which is being bequeathed by those mass Medias; and encouraging the others to do initiatives in order to establish a valuable artistic Medias and entertainment ones, preserving at the same time the religious moral values.

Eventually, all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
