It may seem shameful for some of us to ask God for little and simple issues. But the case differs when a servant directs himself towards God almighty in praying and asking for his needs. In that case, asking God is no more shameful whatever the issue is little and simple.
God almighty knows everything about his servants, his needs, deprivation, weakness, misfortunes, and faults. There is nothing hidden from Him, including our poverty and deprivation to make us feel shy to present our weakness, deficiency, and needs that we feel embarrassed to show it for someone else other than God almighty.
Big needs and requests shouldn’t prevent us from asking God for the little and simple ones.
God almighty likes his servant to be connected to Him with all his needs and issues, the little and big ones, to make his connection permanent. This connection cannot be continuous unless the servant is in need of his God with all his issues and needs, the big and little issues, even asking Him for his foot sole if it is broken.
The Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) says:” Ask God almighty for all your needs even for your shoe sole because if God doesn’t facilitate the issue, it will not be simplified”.
The Prophet Mohammad also says:” Ask your God for all your needs even for your shoe sole if it is broken”.
He also says: “Do not be incapacitated in supplication; For no one perishes with it; ask your God everything even the sole of your shoe if it breaks, and ask God for His bounty; He likes you to ask Him”.
Narrated by Saif Al Tamar, he said:” I heard Abu Abd Allah (pbuh) saying: You have to pray for God since you cannot be closer to Him unless by supplication; don’t leave any little issue without asking Him because he who has little issues has big issues”.
It was mentioned in the divine saying:” O Musa, ask me whatever you need, even your sheep’s feed and your paste’s salt”.
We don’t need to affirm that this principle in supplication doesn’t mean leaving work, movement, and efforts aside. But a man shouldn’t first put his trust in his work and movement, he should carry on his request and trust in God almighty. Second, a man shouldn’t break his relation, connection, and feeling of his need for God almighty during his movements, work, and efforts.
Both are in need of a man to ask God almighty all his needs and issues, even his shoe sole, sheep’s feed, and paste’s salt, as it was mentioned in the divine hadith.
Supplication of Ahl Al Bayt (pbuh), His Eminence Sheikh Mohammad Mahdi Al Asifi (may God have mercy on him)
