O, Dear Sister…
It is inappropriate that you receive and welcome male guests, when you are alone
at home…. Also, it is inappropriate that you serve them by offering drinks or
sweets… and don’t hold long courteous conversations with them…. excuse yourself
out of such a situation by apologizing and don’t feel shy.
However, what happens in our societies today is from the evil customs which we
imported from the evil countries… and this is why corruption and depravity are
augmenting, God forbid us.
God Al-Mighty said:
﴾And when you ask of them any goods, ask them from behind a curtain,
this is purer for your hearts and for their hearts﴿.

And in a text for Imam Ali (A.S) to his son Imam Hassan (A.S): “The strong
commitment to the veil is much better for you and the women, than falling in
suspicions, and them (the women) leaving the house is as important as the
entrance of people you don’t trust on them, and if you were able to prevent them
from knowing males other than you, do it”. The Main Road to Eloquence- book
