Causes of Inattention of the Hereafter

A feeling of satiation of the stomach (inflation due to over-nourishment), bragging of authority, high rank and royalty, bragging of wealth (seeking increase in worldly possessions diverts one from God), the failure to learn a lesson from the setbacks and changes of life, the one who forgets remembrance of Allah, postponement of obligatory prayers, the one who forgets his shroud and grave, fun (let alone those who are fond of joy, singing and staying late in the night to no avail), inattention (notice the expression), abandonment of the mosque.

Consequences of Inattention

Hardness of the heart, death of the heart, blinds the insight, ignorance, ruin, loss.
