 The Cause of Love

Religiousness, humbleness, giving away and charity, good manners, disinterestedness in people’s property, leniency, condolence in times of misfortune and mishaps, amity, talk with people in matters which they approve of and refraining from matters which they disapprove.

The Love of Allah Most High

Perform rituals and duties which Allah enjoined upon you, keep doing the good Muslim deeds, love and pay visits for the sake of Allah Most High, when made angry forgive, always remember death, love those things which Allah and His Messenger love, hate those things which Allah and His Messenger hate, love Allah Most High more than yourself and more than your parents, children, relatives, money and indeed more than all people and everything, hate those who keep committing sins.

People Whom Allah Most High Loves Most

Those who help the poor Muslims in their life and means of sustenance, those who keep believers harmless, those who perform the daily prayers and do the duties that Allah has enjoined upon them, those whose hearts are intimately attached to mosques, those who when a dear one is taken away from them they reconcile themselves with Allah, those who remember Allah often and ask His forgiveness in the small hours of the day when most people are sleeping, those who are very helpful and kind, those who are always endeavoring to make favors, the one who makes people happy, the one who alleviates the sufferings of other believers by paying their debts and satiating their hunger, those who are not keen to enjoy this life “for if the light and dark do not come together, so the love of this world and the love of Allah do not come together”.

When Allah Loves One of His Slaves

He inspires him with His obedience and makes him content with the little that he gave him, He makes him knowledgeable about the religion of Islam, makes him firm with assuredness and dresses him with chastity, He endears faith to him, inspires him with the good performance of rituals, He ornaments him with assuredness and mild temper, He bestows upon him a sound heart and perfect manners, He confers upon him good deeds and makes him preoccupied with His love.
