Charity to Parents

Is obligatory whether they are charitable, dissolute or even infidel (except in the case of disobedience of Allah), charity should continue after their death, charity to them after death include: praying for them, asking forgiveness for them, execution of their pledges, good relations with their relatives, generosity with their friends.

Unkindness to Parents

A great sin, the one who is unkind to his parents will not be forgiven, leads to humiliation, the punishment of the one who is not kind to his parents is hastened in this world let alone in the Hereafter, staring hard at a parent is a form of unkindness, staring hatefully at a parent is a form of unkindness even if they are oppressors.

The Dues of the Father to his Son

To teach him writing, swimming and archery (use of weapons), give his a good name, good food (the one which is permissible), teach him good behavior, teach him the Quran, marry him off if he is in need to do so, discipline him, choose the good believer mother to beget him, teach him charity.

Raring of Children

Discipline the child and teach him to love the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and His family, teach him the Quran, teach him the permissible and the impermissible, urge him to see good knowledge and proper creeds, teach him the use of weapons, teach him how to pray, make him familiar with fasting (at least up to noon before he attains his majority).
