Effects of Self-Admiration

Self-Admiration is the best chance for the Satan with man, it uncovers the shortcomings and defects, its consequence is malice and grudges, spoils the brain, Self-Admiration is a folly, it is destruction, it distracts from the quest for knowledge, precludes good deeds, increases the number of enemies and indignant people, reveals the defects, entails the anger of Allah Most High, the one who admires himself is ignoble before Allah Most High, many of hermits have been destroyed by self-admiration.

Cure of Self-Admiration

Knowledge of self reality, meditation about the weakness of humans before disease, disasters and sudden calamities, remembrance of the beginning (dirty semen) and the end (stinking corpse) and in between carrying feces, independence of the good deeds and worshiping rituals whatever its quantity may be, humbleness before others and acceptance of their views, remembrance of one’s sins committed in order to perceive one’s grave sins and hence renews repentance, should not use the word “I” often and should always feel defaulting.
