It was reported by the prophet Mohammad (pbuh):” We, as prophets, are commanded to please people the same as being commanded to perform the religious duties[1]”.
When the prophet Mohammad (pbuh) misses one of his friends, he used to ask about him for three days: if he found him elsewhere, he supplicates for him, and if he finds him present or sick he visits him[2]”.
If he’s riding, He (pbuh) never lets anyone without carrying him with. If he rejects, he tells him: go ahead to meet together in the target place[3].
It was reported by Al Hussein bin Zaid: I said to Jaafar bin Mohammad (pbuh), did the prophet used to joke with his people? He answered: God has given him wonderful traits regarding joking with others and He has created His prophets with gloominess[4]. He almighty has sent Mohammad (pbuh) being characterized by sympathy and mercy. Joking with his people was a reflection of his sympathy so that no one of his people feels so great to the extent of not looking at him. Then he said: my father Abu Mohammad told me that his father Ali said that his father Al Hussein Said that his father Ali said: if the prophet Mohammad sees one of his friends sad, he used to joke with him to make him happy. He (pbuh) also says:” God hates a man who frowns at his brothers’ faces[5]”.
Dealing with the Poor:
Abu Abdallah Al Sadek (pbuh) says: No one asks the prophet Mohammad (pbuh) for anything of life’s matters except he gives him. Oneday, a woman sent his son to him and said: ask him for what you want, so if says that he doesn’t have, ask him for his shirt. It was narrated in some stories that he took his shirt and threw it to him, and in others stories it was mentioned that God has punished him for the purpose and He almighty days in his holy book:” And do not keep your hand shackled to your neck (out of miserliness), nor stretch it out to an entire stretching (extravagantly), lest you sit down reproached (incurring blame) and exhausted (on becoming penniless[6]).
Striving for People’s Needs
It was reported by the Commander of the Faithful:” No one asks him for something except he says Yes. He has never rejected anyone asking for a need; he either fulfills his need or supports him in his words[7]”.
