Gaining the Public Confidence and Support
It would be much better if a certain military work, especially the revolutionary one, is supported by the public; that is why the Revolutionary Guard should also gain this support and keep bridging its relation with the public.
“The way revolutionary troops work or behave should gain the public admiration and trust; without the public support, these troops would turn out to be ineffective.”
Sayyed Al Khaminei has warned against distorting the image and the reputation of the revolutionary troops among the public. “I don’t allow anyone to speak badly and irresponsibly about our military foundation. The Revolutionary Guard is my responsibility and the trust in my hands. It is my duty to reserve it.”
Sacrificing
Military work is based on sacrificing. The maximum of sacrifice is manifested in martyrdom. It is the biography of Allah's guardians and faithful people seeking the pleasure and the acceptance of Allah and being closely attached to Him: “A member in the Revolutionary Guard is basically present to sacrifice.”
Self-confidence
The lack of self-confidence would be an obstacle to making any achievements since it is the path leading to creativity and making inventions and consequently reducing the dependency on others.
“Try your best to be creative and inventive. Keep your self-esteem and the belief that you are able to do so high.”
Finding the Way
One of the tactics adopted in military strategic thinking is finding the best way that helps in accomplishing the goals. “Choose the shortest way that leads to accomplishing the goals.”
What the Enemies Fear
Any Jihadi work should set the points of weaknesses found among the enemies. The accumulations of these weaknesses would lead the enemies to drive them to fall in despair. “Concentrate on everything that might be a point of weakness on the side of the enemies.”
“Invade them before they do!”
Imam Ali, peace be upon him says:
“Invade them [the enemies] before they invade you.
By Allah I swear,
any people get invaded on their homeland,
they get humiliated.”1
“You have to be always in an advanced position. The enemies lie in wait for the best moment to leak; they wait for your delay to launch their attacks; the best way to repel any of their attacks is to stay in an advanced position." Sayyid Ali Al Khaminei addressing the Revolutionary Guard
