Q: If somebody marries a woman in mut‘ah for a month and after one month he
contracts a mut‘ah with her sister for a certain period. Is he allowed, after
the expiration of mut‘ah period with the 2nd sister, to marry — temporarily or
permanently — the first sister?
A: If the mut‘ah period [of a wife] expires or he grants the rest of it to her,
he is not allowed to marry her sister before the waiting period elapses.
