Imam Khamenei's Hajj Message, 2016
The world of Islam must fundamentally reevaluate the management of the two holy places and the issue of hajj as a result of Saudi rulers' oppressive behavior toward God's guests.
All praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, and Allah's greetings be upon our Master Muhammad, his pristine household, his chosen companions, and those who follow them rightly until the Day of Judgment. In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful, and all praise belongs to Allah.
Brothers and sisters in Islam from all over the world!
In the eyes of God's servants, Muslims view the time of the hajj as a time of pride and glory, enlightenment, humility before the Creator, and solemn prayer.
Hajj is a divine, earthly, heavenly, and communal duty. The Holy Quran's directives "then remember Allah as you remembered your fathers, rather a greater remembering" (Sura al-Baqara, Ayah 200) and "remember Allah during the appointed days" (Sura al-Baqara, Ayah 203) shed light on its infinite and diverse dimensions. On the other hand, the declaration "whoever shall incline therein to wrong unjustly, We will make him taste of a painful chastisement" (S
During this one-of-a-kind obligation, temporal and spatial security brings peace to people's hearts like a clear sign and a brilliant star. It also helps people experience the pleasure of security for a specific period of time and lifts hajj pilgrims out of the siege of insecurity imposed by domineering oppressors who constantly threaten humanity.
The Abrahamic Hajj, which Islam has bestowed upon Muslims as a present, is a display of glory, spirituality, pride, and unity. It shows those who wish it harm and those who oppose it how great the Islamic Ummah is and how much it depends on God's power forever. It demonstrates Muslims' distance from the corruption, humiliation, and tyranny that international bullies and oppressors impose on human communities.
Being "firm against the unbelievers, compassionate among themselves" is exemplified by the Islamic and monotheistic hajj [Holy Quran, Sura Fath, Ayah 29]. It is the stronghold for rejecting nonbelievers and encouraging believers to be friends and united.
Saudi rulers, who have obstructed the path of Allah and Masjid ul-Haram this year and who have blocked the proud and faithful Iranian pilgrims' path to the Beloved's House, are disgraced and misguided people who think their survival on the throne of oppression is dependent on defending the arrogant powers of the world, on alliances with Zionism and the United States, and on fulfilling their demands, are themselves small and puny sat Additionally, they are not hesitant to commit treason on this path.
Nearly a year has passed since the horrifying events in Mina, in which several thousand people tragically died under the scorching sun with thirsty lips on the day of Eid while dressed in ihram. Prior to that, a second group of worshippers were crushed to death in Masjid ul-Haraam while performing tawaf and salat.
In both cases, the Saudi rulers were to blame. All present, observers, and technical analysts concur on this. Some experts argue that the actions were planned in advance. It is also obvious and indisputable that the enthusiastic souls and enthralled hearts of the half-dead and injured people who were accompanying their praying tongues on Eid ul-Adha were not rescued. Instead of helping the injured or at least providing them with water, the heartless and murderous Saudis kept the dead and injured in containers. They were murdered.
Thousands of people from all over the world lost loved ones, and their nations were devastated. Nearly 500 people from the Islamic Republic were among the martyrs. Our people are still grieving and enraged, and their families' hearts are still broken and bereaved.
Saudi rulers, with the utmost shamelessness and insolence, refused to allow the formation of an international Islamic fact-finding committee. Instead of apologizing, remorse, and bringing those who were directly responsible for that horrifying incident under judicial scrutiny, they did so.
They acted like plaintiffs instead of being tried as the accused, revealing their long-standing animosity toward the Islamic Republic and any Islamic flag raised to confront kufr and arrogance with greater vileness.
From politicians whose behavior toward Zionists and the U.S. is a source of disgrace for the world of Islam to impious and haraam-eating muftis who blatantly issue fatwas against the Book and Sunnah and media minions who are not even deterred by codes of professional conduct from spreading and telling lies, their propaganda mouthpieces are trying in vain to demonstrate that the Islamic Republic is to blame for denying Iranian pilgrims access to this year's hajj.
The godless politicians who have extended a hand of friendship to the Zionist regime, have closed their eyes on the Palestinians' sufferings and heartrending tragedies, and have spread their oppression and betrayal to the cities and villages of Bahrain—the irreligious and unconscionable rulers who gave rise to the great tragedy in Mina and in the name of being servants of the two holy places, sacrificed divine sanctity and God’s guests on the day of Eid in Mina and in
They are an excellent illustration of the insightful description found in the Quran: Additionally, when he turns his back, his goal is to cause havoc all over the planet and to endanger crops and cattle, and Allah does not enjoy havoc. When the following is said to him: Be careful about what you owe Allah because pride leads him to sin. Hell will settle his account, an evil resting place” (Sura al-Baqara, Ayahs 205-206 of the Holy Quran).
According to reports, they have placed pilgrims from participating nations under unprecedented surveillance with the assistance of the U.S. spy agencies and the Zionist regime, in addition to excluding Iranian pilgrims and pilgrims from a select number of other nations from participating. Everyone is now in danger in the divine sanctuary because of them.
Understanding Saudi Arabia's blasphemous, faithless, dependent, and materialistic nature is essential for the Muslim world, including Muslim governments and people. They must not allow those rulers to avoid being held accountable for the crimes they have committed throughout the Islamic world.
The Islamic world must fundamentally reevaluate the management of the two holy places and the hajj issue as a result of these rulers' oppressive behavior toward God's guests. The Islamic Ummah will face more serious issues in the future as a result of negligence in this regard.
Brothers and sisters in Islam! Despite their absence from the hajj ceremonies this year, sincere and enthusiastic Iranian pilgrims are spiritually present among pilgrims from around the world. They are concerned about them and pray that the evil taghut's offspring do not harm them.
Remember your Iranian brothers and sisters in your duas, worship, and prayers, and ask that the Islamic Ummah be freed from the hands of the arrogant powers, the Zionists, and their followers, and that the sufferings in Islamic communities be removed.
I remember those who died in Mina and Masjid ul-Haram last year as well as Makkah martyrs in 1987. I ask the Almighty God to show them clemency, mercy, and the highest positions.
I greet the Imam of the Age—may my soul be sacrificed for his sake—and ask Allah to grant that the honored Imam's accepted prayers will benefit the Islamic Ummah and protect Muslims from fitna and evildoers.
Furthermore, Allah is the owner of providence, and we rely on Him.
