In the honorable Hadith (speech) of The Most Honorable Messenger (Allah’s
prayers and peace upon Him and His Household): “The child is a master for
seven years, a slave for seven years and a minister for seven years. At the age
of twenty-one, if you are consent with his ethics, it’s good for him. Otherwise,
beat on his side and you are excused in front of Allah.”
The honorable Hadith divided the educational stages for a child into three
phases:
The first phase: It’s the childhood phase and the period of fun and
playing and that’s why The Most Honorable Messenger (Allah’s prayers and peace
upon Him and His Household) called the child as a master because at this age he
cannot be blamed for his behaviors due to his limited intellectual capabilities
and his addiction to his own world which is playing and having fun.
The second phase: This phase must be
dedicated to the direct education and discipline founded on morals and good
ethics and that’s why the version called him a slave who receives orders and all
his behaviors are supervised.
The third phase: It’s the youth and
adolescence phase when he sticks to his father like a minister sticks to the
kings, so he gains from his father’s life experiences and learn the methods of
work and living…
